Created and designed by musician and composer Marco Aurêh the Lummen made his debut on September 15, 1995 at Concha Acústica the Imperial Museum in Petrópolis, in the concert "At Court of King ". After some changes and several presentations in the capital and the state, the Lummen held in February 1997, three good concerts at the Rio Jazz Club. The event resulted in the first album, Live At The Rio Jazz Club, possibly the last recording made in this prestigious show house that soon after disbanded.
The essence of music Lummen contains, among other things, elements of medieval and renaissance period. The arrangements are a fusion between classical and contemporary. The lyrics are sung in Portuguese supported by the multiplicity of the group instrumental - flute, violin, guitar, mandolin, keyboard, viola, etc. The Lummen rescues the purity of acoustic instruments, adding effects of modern technology ... a colorful hybrid sound that results in the purest and most progressive originalmúsica without falling into the stereotype of the genre. The group always seeks the freedom of expression, taking inspiration as a basis.
The influences are eclectic Lummen. Dutch group Focus the Brazilian O Terço, through the British band Jethro Tull and the Italian PFM. The result is a beautiful creative synthesis. Most themes are instrumentals composed and arranged by the group. The poetic and the imagery are underscored by the varying nuances contained in the arrangements.
